The popping blossoms mark the end of winter and the beginning of spring!
There are over 100 flowering cherry trees on the UW campus you get to see! But none are as STUNNING as the 29 yoshino variety in the UW Quad during peak bloom - the most beautiful cluster of cherry blossoms in the West!
Hanami!
Cherry blossom viewing is called Hanami.
Sit under the blossoms and eat, drink tea, and visit with friends/family on a blanket or short table.
