Kick off spring with this destination event and spring time tradition! It's Washington's most beautiful run/walk as participants start at an urban wildlife sanctuary and head to one of the nation's most iconic cherry blossom displays - all in the heart of Seattle’s renowned UW campus!

Start at the Center for Urban Horticulture. Wind your way through the Union Bay Natural Area, along waterfront and around sports facilities, including Husky Stadium. Cross the pedestrian overpass into central campus and head up towards the main entrance. Finish in Red Square surrounded by amazing gothic architecture and the iconic cherry blossoms!🌸 Half marathon runners will utilize the Burke Gilman Trail out and back.
The UW Botanic Gardens is a major sponsor and beneficiary. You'll learn about their UW Center For Urban Horticulture and have an opportunity to experience their beautiful grounds and venue.
7 AM - NO SAME DAY PACKET PICK UP OR REGISTRATION! (There is a mailing service to mail your packets this year for a fee if you cannot attend packet pick up). Arrive early for parking, warm up, stretch, drink coffee, and immerse yourself in the Union Bay Natural Area.
7:30 - Half Marathon start
7:45 - Union Bay Kids 1K start
8:05 - 5K run/walk start
8:15 AM - Sip n' Stroll 5K start
8:30 AM -11 AM - Finish Line Water, refreshments, donuts, vendors, "Legion of Bloom" award announcements, prizes.

- Parking is FREE in all open campus parking lots! Just 30 stalls at the start in the Center for Urban Horticulture. 100 stalls in E4 Parking Lot nearby. 1,000+ stalls available at the large E18 and E1 parking lots which we highly recommend. We encourage carpooling and/or Uber/Lyft rides.

Saturday, March 21, 2020 at the Graduate Hotel Ballroom and foyer. You'll pick up your bib, pins, shirt, goodies. Stay tuned for packet pick up schedule and list of vendors! Enjoy a 10% discount on food and drink at the rooftop Mountaineering Club bar and restaurant when you show your bib!
Am I allowed to pick up packets for friends and family?
Yes! Just know their first and last name and birthday.
Are strollers allowed?
Yes, for the 5K only. You will not be starting in Corral 1. Please start near the back and make sure they have all-terrain wheels and working brakes.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, for the 5K only and on leash of course! You will not be starting in Corral 1. Please pick up after your pet and start near the back of the last wave.
May I step on plants in the Union Bay Nature Area?
